There are two ways to take an app down, depending on whether you want it back:
- Unpublish — takes the app offline but keeps it. It drops back to a private draft you can preview and re-publish later.
- Delete — removes the app for good, including its files, and frees up its URL.
Both live on the app’s Manage page.

Unpublish (take it offline, keep it)
- Go to App To Page » Apps and click Manage on the app.
- Click Unpublish.
The app is no longer public — visitors to its URL no longer see it — but it stays in your dashboard as a draft. Its files, URL, and settings are all kept, so you can Preview it privately and click Publish whenever you want it live again.
Delete (remove it for good)
- On the app’s Manage page, click Delete.
- Confirm when prompted.
Deleting removes the app’s files and frees its URL, so that address is available for a new app. This can’t be undone, so if you might want the app later, unpublish it instead.
What happens when you uninstall the plugin
Deleting the plugin is different from deleting an app. By default, uninstalling App To Page keeps your apps, files, and pages, so reinstalling restores everything. If you’d rather wipe everything when the plugin is removed, turn on Delete data on uninstall in App To Page » Settings.
Either way, while the plugin is inactive your apps stop being served.
Frequently asked questions
How do I delete an app in App To Page?
Open the app’s Manage page and click Delete, then confirm. Its files are removed and its URL is freed.
What’s the difference between unpublish and delete?
Unpublish takes the app offline but keeps it as a private draft you can restore. Delete removes it permanently, including its files.
Does deleting an app free up its URL?
Yes. Once an app is deleted, its URL is available again for a new app.
Will uninstalling the plugin delete my apps?
Not by default — uninstalling keeps your apps and files so a reinstall restores them. Turn on Delete data on uninstall in Settings if you want everything removed when the plugin is deleted.
