Make an app logged-in only

Gate an app to logged-in users so anonymous visitors are sent to log in first — a private tool with zero extra infrastructure.

Every app has a visibility setting. By default it’s Public — anyone with the URL can use it. Switch it to Logged-in only and the app becomes a private tool for people signed in to your WordPress site.

Set visibility

You can set it two ways:

  • When creating the app — on the confirm card after you drop the zip, choose Logged-in only instead of Public.
  • Later — on the app’s card, open ⋯ → Settings and change visibility.

A small lock icon appears on the card for any app that’s logged-in only.

What visitors experience

  • Logged-in users get the app normally.
  • Anonymous visitors are redirected to your WordPress login page, and sent back to the app after they sign in.

This uses your existing WordPress accounts — there’s no separate login to manage and no extra hosting involved. Any registered user on your site can access a logged-in-only app.

Need finer control — specific roles, membership tiers, or per-customer access? That’s on the roadmap. Today’s options are Public and Logged-in only.
